Come join our team! **Job Summary:** Develops and delivers Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs within the Mission and Vision of Catholic Health Initiatives and the Franciscan Health System, and in collaboration with the Manager of CPE and the Spiritual Care team. The education is typically delivered in a classroom setting. Work includes teaching, supervising, conducting needs analyses, developing educational strategies, and identifying and scheduling appropriate curricula and courses. The education includes oversight of the Interns/Residents within the context of their clinical assignments with patients, clients families and staffs. **Essential Duties:** + Develops Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs to meet the educational needs of participants and the spiritual care needs of patients, families and staff. + Delivers Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) educational programs to meet the educational needs of participants and the spiritual care needs of patients, families and staff. + Assesses educational and clinical effectiveness including the supporting materials and makes revisions and changes as needed. + Participates as an active member of the Spiritual Care team. + Provides spiritual care to designated FHS departments/patients as directed. + Collaborates with the Manager of CPE and the Director of Spiritual Care in data collection and quality improvement efforts. + Assesses educational and clinical effectiveness including the supporting materials and makes revisions and changes as needed. + Participates as an active member of the Spiritual Care team. **Additional Responsibilities:** + Adheres to and exhibits our Core Values of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence. **Qualifications** **Education/Work Experience Requirements** + Master’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies, or Master of Divinity that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities; and three years of recent related work experience, providing direct spiritual or pastoral care,. Experience conducting clinical pastoral education (CPE) programs preferred. **Licensure/Certification** + Certification as a CPE Supervisor by a nationally recognized certifying body, i.e., the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC). **Job** Spiritual Care **Primary Location** WASHINGTON-TACOMA-ST JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER **Daily Schedule** 8:00am to 4:30pm **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 80 **Weekends Required** None **Req ID:** 2017-R0118689
